- How long does it take my carpet to dry after cleaning?
Steam Cleaning is recommended as a more intense clean. A pre-spray is sprayed on your carpets and the then rinse and extracted back out from the root to the tip. Dry cleaning however cleans only the surface of your carpet; the chemicals are not rinsed off and generally will lead to quick re-soiling.
Your carpets should be professionally cleaned every 12 months. When cleaned and maintained correctly, the carpet life is extended. Your carpet will not be damaged if cleaned correctly and on a regular basis. It is the unseen bacteria, soils and allergens that cause the damage. Are you aware that in our bed alone, we sleep with over 2,000,000 dust mite (members of the spider family) every night?
Immediately, a professional carpet cleaner will clean the carpet fibres only. The backing underlay or floorboards should not get wet. The Drying process can be massively accelerated by turning on your air conditioner or reverse cycle heating.
From 2 hours to 8 hours. We recommend accelerating drying time by turning on fans, air conditioner or reversing cycle heating and opening windows. The average drying time is 4 hours.
